My Vision

The climate and economy are only certain to change.
My vision is that people are able to thrive despite those changes.

Housing that

  • generates more resources than they consume
  • is made from at least 80% local and natural materials
  • will last for over 100 years
  • is a appropriate to its place
  • is beautiful and functional
  • sells for between $20,000 and $100,000

A building should consume its own waste, maintain itself, match nature’s pace, provide wildlife habitat, moderate climate and weather and be beautiful. That’s a series of pass/fail evaluation criteria. ~ Malcom Wells

Communities where

  • infants to the elderly are welcome
  • more of the residents time is spent pursuing their passion than income
  • residents share practical resources
  • waste is dealt with in a regenerative fashion
  • more resources are generated than are consumed – ie
    • food is grown and processed
    • wind is farmed
    • solar energy is farmed
    • fibers are produced

My objective is to create spaces that make people smile.
